If you whow-to-invert-rows-and-columns-in-an-excel-table-transpose-functionant to invert (swap the columns for rows) using Excel 2007 through Excel 2016, you can use the TRANSPOSE function.

  1. In Excel, select all of the data you are interested in, right click
  2. select COPY
  3. Right click on an empty cell elsewhere in the same or a different worksheet
  4. Select PASTE SPECIAL > PASTE SPECIAL > click TRANSPOSE > click OK

I have seen TRANSPOSE be greyed out a number of times when I have tried to use it and the solution has always been to select less of the table (i.e. select less in step 1 & 2) and try again.
