If you want to setup your Blackberry Playbook to receive / sync email contacts and calendar with your hosted Microsoft Office 365 email service just follow these simple instructions:
Blackberry Playbook Office 365 Exchange Mail Configuration OS2

Blackberry Playbook Office 365 Exchange Mail Configuration OS2

  1. Update your Playbook to OS 2.  OS 1 will NOT sync with office 365 unless you have it tethered to your Blackberry (which I do not have).  That problem is gone with OS 2 which was released February 21 2012.
    1. click the settings cog icon in the top right corner of the home screen
    2. select SOFTWARE UPDATES
    3. do what is obvious
  2. Click the settings cog icon in the top right corner of the home screen
  3. Select ACCOUNTS
  4. Select ADD NEW ACCOUNT
  5. Select EMAIL CALENDAR & CONTACTS
  6. Select ADVANCED SETUP
  7. Again select EMAIL CALENDAR & CONTACTS
  8. Type whatever description you would like
  9. Do NOT enter ANYTHING in the DOMAIN field
  10. Enter your full email address in BOTH the USERNAME and the EMAIL ADDRESS fields
  11. Enter your password
  12. Set the SERVER ADDRESS to m.outlook.com
  13. Leave the SSL and PUSH in their default positions
  14. Click CONTINUE
  15. Wait a few minutes for the settings to take and the sync to complete
  16. Have a nice day

If you go back and look at your settings later, you will find that the SERVER ADDRESS field has been changed to something else; in my case sn2pro0510.outlook.com and both USE SSL and PUSH are set ON.

I have not tested a Playbook 4G but expect it will work just fine without BES.

Tried it didn’t work. After 1 day it tells me that the device is not added as a syncing device.

This should work and has worked for many. If not Microsoft (now) does support this and you can call them for free, if you are an admin, and they will walk you through it.
