No… how is that for direct!  I have confirmed with Microsoft Partner Support that Media Center will ONLY be available for Windows 8 Professional via the MEDIA CENTER ADD ON PACK to be released in October 2012.

I have joined the many and asked Microsoft to change this as there are several very good uses for MEDIA CENTER in the Enterprise.  Microsoft’s response was: “…I fully understand the inconvenience this issue may have caused and I will forward your feedback to dev team. Thanks for your time and understanding on this issue.”

Why is this marked as solved it is still an issue! I think its time we turned to the underground to get these features. I need Enterprise for my work but I also use my PC for fun i.e. TV Movies games etc.

It is SOLVED because the answer is known. I COMPLETELY AGREE that not having it in Enterprise in unacceptable and illogical. Splitting Media Center from the core product makes sense but why would Microsoft only want to take extra money from individuals and not companies.

I am also sure that you are correct to suggest that someone is working hard to crack this feature.

This frustrates me… almost as much as not having a START BUTTON as an option.
