Microsoft Office 2013 Activation Error 0xC004F017
Microsoft Office 2013 Activation Error 0xC004F017

The solution to activation error “We’re sorry something went wrong and we can’t do this for you right now.  Please try again later. (0xC004F017 )” in Office 2013 is very easy to correct but far from obvious.

What you need to do is:

  1. Click FILE > Click ACCOUNT
  2. Click CHANGE PRODUCT KEY on the right side yellow box
  3. Do what is obvious and have a nice day

I have to take a slightly different route.

1. Appwiz.cpl
2. locate the Project Install
3. right click and change install
4. Select Enter Product Key
5. Profit!

I just had another one of these that this solution did work for. I am sorry to hear yours was apparently a different issue?

Or you could just right-click on any of the Office components (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) and select “Run as Administrator.” The activation should work after that.

    Hi rbrasseau 🙂

That did not work for me… but others can try and see if it works for them.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
