SOLVED: Operating System Loader Signature Not Found In Secure Boot Database

Secure boot is a firmware standard that has EFI BIOS’s check the boot loader to ensure it is authentic.  Guess what is not supported in Secure Boot… ANYTHING before Windows 8.  Soooo, if you are trying to load Windows 7 (in my case from PXE and WDS) onto a PC that has SECURE BOOT enabled, you are going to see something like this message that came up on my Dell OptiPlex 9020:

Operating System Loader Signature Not Found In Secure Boot Database

As such, the only options are:

  1. disable SECURE BOOT in the ‘BIOS’
  2. install Windows 8 or Server 2012 (or newer)
