If you are playing with Microsoft Chromium Edge browser, you may want to change the default search engine so you can use your favorite right from the address bar.  In the earliest builds this could not be easily done, but today it is not a problem:

How To Set Change the Search Engine in Chromium Edge to Google or DuckDuckGoChange the Default Search Engine in Chromium Edge:

  1. Click the SETTINGS AND MORE ellipse (3 dots) in the top right corner of Edge
  2. Click SETTINGS
  3. Click PRIVACY AND SERVICES
  4. Click the ‘>’ to the right of ADDRESS BAR
  5. Select your favorite Search Engine from the drop down list

If you have not already, surf to the search engine you want to use (i.e. Google, Duck Duck Go, Yahoo, …) and this will automatically add it to the list of optional search engines.
