If you are having problems with OneDrive you may be able to correct them with a simple reset:

RESET ONEDRIVE ON WINDOWS 10:

onedrive reset sync

%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

If that command does not make sense to you, just follow these instructions:

  1. Right click on the OneDrive icon in your Notification Area (blue cloud icon near the clock) and select CLOSE ONEDRIVE
  2. Copy this command:
    %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
  3. Click the START button in Windows 10
  4. Press CNTL + V (which will paste the command)
  5. Press the ENTER key
  6. Open your OneDrive and see if it is syncing again, as shown in the screen shot to the right

This process will clear OneDrive’s local database and reconsider every file online and on your computer.  This may be helpful when you see OneDrive stuck on Processing Changes.

RESET ONEDRIVE ON ANDROID:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Select Applications
  3. Tap Manage Applications
  4. Find and tap OneDrive
  5. Tap Force Stop and then tap Clear data and Clear cache

You may also want to uninstall and then reinstall the app

RESET ONEDRIVE ON iOS:

Uninstall and reinstall OneDrive

RESET ONEDRIVE ON AN APPLE MAC:

  1. Quit OneDrive.
    1. Click the cloud icon in the top tray, then select Settings > Quit OneDrive
  2. Find OneDrive in your Applications folder
  3. Right-click OneDrive and select Show Package Contents
  4. Browse to the Contents > Resources folder
  5. Double-click ResetOneDriveApp.command
    1. or ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command, if you’re using the standalone app
