Most people have heard of Samsung Motion Photo and Apple Live Photo in which the camera of your mobile phone takes a few pictures and snapping them together to make a 1 second movie; this is not that.   This is taking old photos (paper or digital) that are flat, two dimensional pictures and having artificial intelligence (AI) make the head turn, eyes blink and mouth move.

MyHeritage.com has a service they call Deep Nostalgia that applies their AI to your old photos to bring them to life.  It is truly an amazing technology that you can access for free.

Note that this is an unpaid, honest review of the service.

Watch us demonstrate how to create an account for free, and use either a mobile phone or a PC browser to turn old still photos in to short moving picture movies.  AMAZING:

after about 5 pictures, you have to pay for their full service. so it is not a free app at all.

    Hi Shakaama;

    I only animated about 5 and did not see an alert for that limit and I did not read anything about that limit. If what you say is true, I suppose that is a way to stop people from flooding their network, but they should be more transparent.

    Thanks for the information.
