Readers of the site we’ll know that we’ve just upgraded all of our staff to Samsung Galaxy S25‘s and then added the new phones to our handy Windows Phone Link (the app that connects cell phones to Windows 11) . However, we found that Windows Phone Link was no longer transferring clipboard data between the desktops and cells.

We confirmed that other services, like viewing texts and images, were working so we thought the problem might be in SETTINGS. Something important to note here, is that Settings in Phone Link are set per device, not globally.

Windows Phone Link Not Copy Paste Sharing Between PC and Phone

  1. to access settings, click the cog icon at the top right corner of the Phone Link app
  2. click DEVICES (from the menu on the left), and ensure you are working on the correct phone
  3. click FEATURES (from the menu on the left) and here is where it gets tricky, SCROLL DOWN
    1. our least favorite feature of Windows 11 is the hidden scroll bars and as you can see in the screenshot above when we first looked at settings the bottom of the window appeared to be end of the settings (i.e. nothing was cut off). That is why we did not see clipboard settings in the Phone Link app
  4. Click the slider for CROSS-DEVICE COPY AND PASTE
  5. Have a nice day
