SOLVED: How to Copy an Animaged GIF From A Website

If you just right click on an animated GIF and select COPY you will likely only get one frame of the animated GIF.  There are two ways to easy ways to take an animated GIF from a website:

COPY IT FROM TEMP FILES

  1. Right click on the animated graphic on the website you want to take it from
  2. Note the name of the file in the ADDRESS field (in this case http://www.techimo.com/forum/customavatars/avatar946_4.gif\avatar946_4.gif)
  3. Copy that file from your Temporary Internet Files in my case that was C:\Users\imatthews\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

USE SOFTWARE TO COPY IT

  1. Right click on the animated graphic on the website you want to take it from
  2. Copy the entire path from the ADDRESS field (in this case avatar946_4.gif )
  3. Launch free software like irfanview (www.irfanview.com)
  4. Click FILE, OPEN and paste in the URL / address
  5. Click FILE, SAVE or FILE, COPY

Enjoy!
