SOLVED: How To Put Your Netflix Account on HOLD So You Can Try Other Services

I have a problem in that I want to buy the Shomi streaming service for about half a year but I do not want to pay for two streaming services, which means my beloved Netflix has to go… or does it.  I contacted Netflix and they told me they can put the account on HOLD / SLEEP for up to 10 months so I do not get billed but when I come back I will still have:

  1. the lower $7.99 price (the price for new customers is $8.99), and;
  2. all of my Netflix profiles, history and preferences will still be in tact

Netflix is the best!  However, I have burnt out on it so I am going to try something else from Streaming Buffet that is Netflix, Shomi, Hulu, HBO GO, Amazon Prime, Vudu, CraveTV…

If you want to put your Netflix account on hold, just do the following:

  1. Surf to www.Netflix.com
  2. Click the SING IN button (at the top right of the screen)
  3. Mouse over your profile name (at the top right of the screen)
  4. Click HELP CENTER
  5. Click START A LIVE CHAT or CALL US (at the bottom of the screen)
  6. Ask that they put your account on HOLD for the time you need (up to 10 months)
  7. Have a nice day.
