Solved: What is Continuum in Windows 10

Windows 10 has a feature that changes the traditional Windows 7 like desktop and start button into a more tablet friendly mode.  Continuum is primarily used in Windows 2 in 1, sometimes called Convertible devices in which the keyboard can be detached from the screen.

Most notably there are two big differences between the normal interface and tablet mode interface.

  1. the START button changes to a full screen tiled mode, much like Windows 8
  2. most programs start in full screen mode rather than a windowed mode

Continuum is the name Microsoft has given to the function that automatically swaps these two interfaces.
