If you are installing (or configuring) software on your Window 7, 8 or 10 PC, you may see ERROR 2503 followed by ERROR 2502:
Fortunately there is both a fix and workaround for this problem:
Set the permissions on C:\WINDOWS\TEMP to AUTHENTICATED USERS = FULL CONTROL
End task on EXPLORER.EXE and start a new one WITH ADMIN PRIVILIGES.
You might also try running the .MSI from an elevated command prompt:

You're a legend. Had a crunch project for a client and Adobe XD wouldn't update (which I needed to update in order to access the shared cloud document). I tried to update another software package as well, but ran into error 2503. The file permission change fixed all my update issues, thank you!
