SOLVED: How To Determine What Version of PowerShell You Have Installed

If you need to know what version of PowerShell you have installed there are many ways to figure it out:

  1. In PowerShell, type: get-host
    • In PowerShell, type: get-host | select-object version
  2. In PowerShell, type: ConsoleHost
    • deprecated
  3. In PowerShell, type: $PSVersionTable
  4. In PowerShell, type: Get-PSSnapin
  5. Check the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PowerShell\1 \2 \3 \4 \5
