SOLVED: Dell Disk Firmware Update: The Operation Failed Due To An Invalid Image File

If you are updating the firmware on a Dell Server you and see “The Operation Failed Due To An Invalid Image File”, you likely have Dell Open Manage Server Administrator (OMSA) open and looking at one of the disks you are trying to update.

The solution is to close Dell Open Manage Server Administrator (OMSA) and start the update again.
