SOLVED: Remove PEOPLE Icon From Windows 10 Taskbar GPO, Registry Entry & Manual

If you want to remove the PEOPLE icon from Windows 10 Taskbar there are three easy ways:

MANUALLY REMOVE PEOPLE ICON FROM TASKBAR:

1. Right click on any blank space in the Taskbar
2. Uncheck SHOW PEOPLE IN THE TASKBAR

 

GPO TO REMOVE PEOPLE ICON FROM TASKBAR:

1. In GPEDIT expand User Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar
2. Double click REMOVE THE PEOPLE BAR FROM THE TASKBAR
3. Set it to ENABLED

 

REGISTRY ENTRY TO REMOVE PEOPLE ICON FROM TASKBAR:

1. Launch REGEDIT.EXE
2. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > Advanced
3. Double click the PEOPLEBAND key and set it to 0 (that is zero)
4. Sign out, sign in
