Adding and changing the permissions on an Azure File is easy:

Just follow these steps as shown in the screenshot above:

  1. Log into https://portal.azure.com
  2. Search for STORAGE ACCOUNTS (top center search bar)
  3. Click on the Storage Account you are interested in
  4. Click FILE SHARES (in the left menu)
  5. Click on the file Share you want to modify permissions on
  6. Click the ADD ROLE ASSIGNMENT button (at the bottom)
  7. Find the user(s) you want to add and click NEXT
  8. Set the permission level and click NEXT
  9. Have a nice day
