If you have ever tried to create a new Exchange user and then immediately add them to BES, you might have found that the new users don’t show up for some time (i.e. a day or more).

One solution is to sign into BES and force a refresh via the BES menu (on the left):

BlackBerry Solution topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component view > View

You may then see the following error in red:

The company directory cannot be refreshed because a mailstore server is not running


Sooo then you need to go to the SERVICES on the server running BES and manually start the BLACKBERRY MAILSTORE service.  (Note that this service turns itself off after some short period of time.)  Then go back to BES and force a refresh.

A user refresh will take a few minutes but your will show up!
